            Alabama adds 1,300-plus COVID cases since yesterday, nears 200,000 cases

            Alabama added another 1,300-plus COVID-19 cases since yesterday. The Alabama Department of Public Health’s Nov. 5 10 a.m. data shows the stage has had 199,158 coronavirus cases since March, an increase of 1,381 from yesterday. Of those new cases, 1,151 were confirmed; 230 were probable.

            The state’s death toll rose by 30 to 3,026.

            The state has conducted 99,571 diagnostic tests in the last two weeks. Of those recent test, 22,472 were positive. As of yesterday, there were 1,017 people hospitalized with COVID-19 down from a recent high of 1,047 on Nov. 2.
